How To Retore your Interior
Goto Page 3
Here is the dash that went into my 1980 Pickup
I took it out of the white parts car I bought. It was light blue, but I
repainted it using paint I got at the parts store.  So now If your dash is
a wreck and you can't find a match, you have two options. Redo the
interior to match the new dash, or redo the dash to match the interior.
I Did both. The Trucks headliner was sagging, and the dash was a
wreck. So I took out the seats, and pulled out the headliner and
cardboard insert. Then I pulled the cluster and dash.
This only took a day to do at most. Its no where near as scary as it seems.

Remove your dash, and Get your self a sponge, some hot soapy water, and a can of vinyl
paint prep. Wash The dash well at least twice with the soapy water. Make sure not to
touch the dash with your bare hands, the oil will cause problems.
Now let the dash dry out completely, and then give the whole thing a good spray from the
vinyl prep spray.
Now its time to paint. Get At least 3 cans of vinyl spray paint. Its sold at any parts store.
If your doing your whole interior, get 5 cans and you'll have a little left for touch ups.
The same works for all the interior parts, Seats, door panels, sunvisors, and even
headliners. You will need to Get a tool from the parts store called a door trim tool. To
remove the Vw Rabbit door panels with out breaking them.
