Phase Two Let The Removing Begin
|

You really need to take your time as you go. If you are not used to working on your car,
or are trying something new. Mark all the things you can . Put Tape on all your wiring
connectors and mark there position. Keep all your nuts and bolts in some zip lock bags.
Mark the bags with there placement. A year from now, when you go to put it all back
together You'll really thank yourself. If you can take pictures, or video, or drawings of
how things went together.
The way I go about stripping A parts car or when I start a restoration. I like to remove a
few large pieces, and a dozen or so smaller ones. Then I'll clean the parts, and put them
away. That way Theres not this huge pile of interior and exterior pieces all over. They
tend to get damaged or greasy.
As you work to disassemble both Cars, make a mental note of what parts look better, or if
you have the space what spares you should keep. (You can find my list of parts you should
own in another section of this site.) There will be things that are no good on either car, so
as you go, jot those items down for a later shopping list.
So after a while, you will find yourself in front of a hull. And standing next to a large
collection of parts.
What Now?
